“Thank you so much for dropping in to check on our two kitties. We really really appreciate that you were able to visit around Mollee's bedtime and to see her in the photos all relaxed in her usual places. Della jumped down from the cat tree in the office when we got home, she was napping up top. Hopefully, as she gets to know you, she will come out and play with you!”

“Jennifer has been a stalwart drop-in sitter for our dog Guinness for half a year now. She has put up with schedule changes, a sick puppy, and miscommunication on our end with absolutely no guff. About: I’ve been passionate about animals since childhood and have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs. Throughout my life, I’ve also cared for a variety of other animals, including cats, small mammals, reptiles, and birds. I’ve personally raised and cared for many different dog breeds, including Pomeranians, Maltese, Poodles, Shiba Inus, Retrievers, Shepherds, and mixed breeds. I’m familiar with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs, from playful puppies to senior dogs. When I had pets of my own, I also entrusted them to pet sitters, so I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone reliable, caring, and attentive. I know how much trust it takes to leave your beloved companion in someone else’s care. I genuinely love spending time with animals and treat every pet with patience, kindness, and respect. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I provide attentive, personalized care in a clean, comfortable apartment with no other pets. My community has convenient outdoor areas and lovely walking paths for exercise and potty breaks. I'll also send you photo updates throughout the day so you can have peace of mind! I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including weekdays and weekends. With advance notice, I can often adjust my availability to fit your pet’s routine. Feel free to reach out anytime🤍🐾
About: Being raised on a small farm, there have always been cats & dogs around to share in the ups & downs of life. I love leaning into each individual's personality and working with positive reenforcement to catch the animals doing good behavior! I have experience training/working with dogs of all ages. Sometimes our furry friends need extra care. I am experienced in oral medicine administration, wound care, ear & eye treatments (if need be)! I am available for pet care on a daily basis. I care for my cats & dog daily. If ever I need backup support, I have a network of folks willing to lend a hand. When pet sitting, I follow the instructions given by the owner regarding when to feed, how much food, how often they need to go outside. Beyond that, I typically tidy up the space every evening, sweeping/vacuuming, refreshing waters, etc. I try to develop a routine so that the animals know what to expect and can relax into a sense of order. I generally find ways that each animal likes to play and find games that are fun and rewarding.
About: I have excellent references with over 20 years of experience walking, feeding, bathing, and grooming animals. I have worked with animals as young as 4 months old to as old as 18 years old and had to administer medication. I’ve worked with dogs, cats, horses, goats, fish, birds, and cows. I am a teacher who works from home so I am available any time during the week to stay over with plenty of breaks to let them out for play and potty time. I’ll be home all day so your pet babies will have lots of attention! I live in an apartment at this time so I will not be able to keep your animals here, but I am able to come to your home and be there as much or as little as you need me to be! I want what is best for your pet since I know they are part of your family. When you put your trust in me, I take that very seriously and anything you need directions wise will be followed since you know your pet best!
About: Hi there! My name is Brandon Foley and any dog I’ve met I have loved like my own! Growing up, I had my Black Lab, and my cat. I also helped my Aunt with her pet sitting business in Chicago. From pet sitting, long or short walks, boarding and of course taking care of our own pets, I’ve got experience with it all! I’ve also administered medication to dogs of all ages and sizes. I currently work part-time, which leaves me with lots of time to love on and play with your pups! As long as I know in advance, my schedule is quite flexible. When I am away from home it’s usually for no more than a few hours. More time to spend with your pet! I take dog watching very seriously and safety is my number one priority. Your dog will always have someone around to give it lots of attention and affection. I'll do everything I can to to meet the needs of your dog to assure they are safe, comfortable, and having fun during your time away.
“Chad came and hung out with Julep while my fiance and I got married! We knew we would be out most of the day so booked him to check in on her and it was so so nice to know she was taken care of so I could focus on the wedding. Thanks again Chad! You da best!”

About: Hi, I’m Nate. I’ve spent years around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I take pride in providing consistent, thoughtful care. Whether your dog needs a midday walk, overnight care, or just a little extra attention while you’re away, I’m here to help. I’m calm, observant, and reliable — and I always follow your dog’s routine and preferences closely. I’m comfortable with leash handling, senior dogs, basic meds, and high-energy pups that need a solid outlet. You’ll always get clear communication, prompt updates, cute photos, and peace of mind knowing your dog is in good hands. Let me know what your dog needs — I’m happy to help. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule to prioritize the dogs I’m caring for — whether that means early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening feedings. I keep a consistent routine to make sure every dog gets the attention, exercise, and care they need, and I build in time for updates and communication with pet owners. Because I work remote and on a flexible schedule, I’m able to stay focused and present with each animal I care for. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, energy level, and personality so I can meet their specific needs. Whether it’s a long walk, some playtime, or just quiet companionship, I adjust my approach to what works best for them. I always follow care instructions closely — including feeding, medications, and any training routines — and I keep things calm and consistent to help pets feel at ease. I also send regular updates so owners know their pet is doing well while they’re away.

About: I had an English Setter Callie, and loved her as if she were my daughter. After she passed, it was not the same and I really missed her and the unconditional love and happiness she brought into my life. The past two years I've been house sitting for several people all over the United States, which began with an uber driver asking me if I'd look after his Belgian Malinois Berta while he went on a cruise. The experience was great and I realized how much I miss being around animals. I have done dozens of house sits since then, met amazing pets from dogs, cats, lizards, and frogs. I've met some great people in that time as well who I'd help in a heartbeat again should the need arise. On March 2, 2026 I found a chihuahua, Sweetie abandoned walking towards the road while I was house sitting for a customer. I saved her, she wasn't microchipped, no collar, nobody claimed her despite my listings. She is family now and an unbelievable gift in my life. She is 4 years old, very friendly with people, dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. Shes a total sweetheart and I bring her with me on sits, and have been impressed with how different pets interact with her and how they motivate and teach each other little things. I work remotely in financial services as a life insurance, mortgage protection broker. Plenty of schedule flexibility, I schedule all my own clients and appointments. I'm very health conscious and enjoy getting outside hiking, walking trails, or going to the gym to stay fit. Treat pets and homes as if they're your own. Leave things as found or better than when you arrived. I like to keep owners updated consistently usually every 2 or 3 days, with photos and an occasional video of something funny if you catch pets in the act.
About: From the moment I first encountered a playful pup at the age of nine, my heart was forever captured by dogs' boundless joy and unwavering loyalty. Since then, my life has been enriched by countless furry companions, each leaving an indelible pawprint on my heart. As I embarked on my journey in pet care, I discovered the profound joy of nurturing these loving creatures and the immeasurable rewards of companionship and connection. I have plenty of time to help take care of animals. I am also flexible on weekends. Would be able to walk your pet midday and evenings. Mornings are tough time for my availability. I am experienced with setting up a routine schedule for a pet: morning bathroom break, midday, and evening. Lunch and dinner are typically done first thing in the morning and evening. A morning walk or evening walk also works. Routines are great for animals.
About: I don't like seeing pets alone when their owners are away, so I love keeping them company! I make them feel comfortable in my home. As an animal lover and a deaf person, I appreciate having pets around for companionship. My schedule is available in anytime. Just let me know if you want me watch your pets as longer I don’t mind. I love to help. I always respect your home’s rule with your pets. As long you let me know with your concerns. I love to check your pets to make sure they’re ok.
About: I have spent my whole life growing up with a wide variety of dogs and cats, and also rabbits, geckos, fish, shrimp and African dwarf frogs! Although I don’t have the resources to have a fur baby, I love and adore my aquarium and would love to care for your fur babies as well! i have a very flexible work schedule that allows me to crate my own hours, as well as work from home as much as needed. I also have the freedom of being able to come and go from my work as needed throughout the day I unfortunately do not have the space or the time to adopt and care for a pet of my own and how unfair that would be to the animal when I go back to work, but my aquarium is perfect for me! I have catfish, shrimp, and African dwarf frogs that I love and adore. I also provide very attentive and caring attention to any pets that I watch or interact with

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
