Empathetic & Shame Free Dog Trainer
What sets me apart is my strong science background paired with real world experience. I hold a master’s degree in biology, shaping my evidence-based approach to behavior. I’ve volunteered in shelters for years and fostered dogs with little to no home experience. I also bring a background in teaching K-12 kids and am completing my 200-hour yoga teacher training. This allows me to meet each dog and family with empathy, clarity, and realistic, achievable training plans.

What to expect
Consultation
During a consultation, we’ll discuss your goals, your dog’s history, and any challenges you’re experiencing, followed by hands-on observation and initial training guidance. Clients should be ready to share details and participate actively. After the session, you’ll receive clear next steps, practical exercises, and a plan to support progress in real-life situations.
Sessions
Training sessions are hands-on and collaborative, focusing on practical skills you can use in everyday life. Clients should provide their own high-value treats, a leash, and a treat pouch, and be ready to participate. Between sessions, you’ll practice simple exercises at home and apply skills in real situations, building consistency and confidence until our next session.

My #1 rule: this is a shame free zone! My dog training methodology is rooted in positive reinforcement and science-backed operant conditioning. I focus on teaching skills in a way dogs can truly understand, while supporting humans with clear, practical guidance. It’s very important to me to support you in your training and make you feel unashamed and not judged for whatever progress you do or don’t make. I approach all of my clients with empathy and want you to feel supported to make progress that can realistically be incorporated into your every day life, no matter how busy life gets.
