Lets make dog training fun!

I will also show you how to train your dog to perform the commands and skills you need, using step-by-step methods that are easy for anyone to follow. That way, you can maintain the training without having to pay another trainer down the line. My experience in a shelter as a Canine Behavior Coordinator and as a Caretaker for Military Working Dogs has given me unique expertise with mixed-breed dogs and working dogs you can’t find anywhere else!

Consultation

During a consultation, we will discuss which specific command training and behavioral modifications you are interested in, so we can build a plan that fits your schedule and directly addresses what you're looking for in a dog trainer. I won't make you jump through hoops or spend time and money on training you don't want or need. With me, you'll get a custom-tailored behavior and training regimen specifically for you and your dog. That way, we can focus on the things you really want!

Sessions

Typically in your home

Once a plan is in place, we will jump right into the fun! Any specific tools or treats necessary for the training will be provided by me; however, I do ask that you bring your vaccination records and any treats/toys your dog particularly loves! The more valuable the reward, the harder they'll work to get it!

Positive Reinforcement

My main methods for dog training include positive reinforcement, rearranging antecedents, differential reinforcement of alternative behaviors, and prioritizing setting your dog up for success so they have the best opportunity to fit in with you and your family! And, of course, the most important part is to have fun! Training shouldn't feel like a chore, and it shouldn't be a punishment for your dog either! Your dog should be excited to learn how to behave and grow their knowledge! That's the goal with positive reinforcement.
