Build good behavior positively!
Tracy received a MS in Clinical Animal Behavior from the University of Edinburgh School of Veterinary Studies. She received her first dog training certification through the Northwest School of Canine Studies. She is also a Fear-Free certified trainer. Tracy uses force-free, reward-based training methods that set dogs up for success. She believes effective training builds communication between dogs and their humans. She does not use choke or prong collars, e-collars, or other common training tools that create fear or pain. Instead, she promotes front-attach harnesses, patience, and humor.

Consultation
The first 90-minute session is held via Zoom, which allows for a thorough intake and gets you started on training activities that will make in-person sessions more effective. You will be required to submit intake paperwork prior to this session. Subsequent 60-minute sessions are at your home or another mutually agreed-upon location. Sessions focus on building training skills and communications between dogs and their families. You will receive a written behavior plan outlining skills to teach before our in-person session. You will also have access to e-mail support after the consultation.
Sessions
Sessions are as variable as the clients who hire me. In general, we work with your dog in the settings where it needs the most help. I demonstrate some training, but the goal is to hand over training to you as soon as possible, so that you and your dog become a team. You will be given a written training plan to practice between sessions and will have e-mail support between sessions.
