What sets me apart from most of the local trainers is that I’ve raised several working dogs from pups and have been a very successful sport dog competitor. I have the background to start a puppy from 8 weeks old and train it to be the most socialized well behaved animal you’ll ever have. I specialize in large dog breeds like herding breeds, farm breeds, bird dog breeds all the way to the 5 lb mini breeds. I am a certified behavior consultant and can help you turn those unwanted behaviors into well mannered behaviors!

What to expect
Consultation
During an evaluation I will evaluate your dog in its home environment, talk to family members, show you some of my training ways, and you will get an evaluation in the mail 24 to 48 hours after the evaluation and we will then schedule weekly training sessions.
Sessions
In your first session you will need to have high value treats and the equipment that I recommended after the evaluation. We will dive right in with teaching you how to clearly communicate with your dog. That’s the first step in my training.

My training principles are mostly through the LIMA approach -least intrusive and minimally aversive. I creat a canine- human relationships built on positive interaction and consistency. While my bias is on positive reinforcement I believe instruction on a variety of animal training methods and ideologies provides the most comprehensive education for my clients.
