Calm, Trust Based Puppy Training
I’m Syd, a full time pet care professional with my own pet care business and I now offer puppy training, with a focus on building healthy habits & foundations. I’ve worked with dozens of dogs facing the challenges of city life, using counter-conditioning and desensitization to help them build emotional resilience, even in the most overstimulating environments, through a calm, positive and practical approach that builds lasting confidence. Above all, I’m here to be your partner through this important chapter. I’ll meet your pup where they’re at and help guide them to where they’re meant to be.

What to expect
Consultation
The consultation is our chance to get aligned before we dive into training. It typically lasts 30–45 minutes and takes place in your home or a familiar environment for your puppy. We’ll talk through your puppy’s daily routine, behaviors, & goals I’ll observe your puppy’s body language, energy level & comfort in their space I’ll ask about any concerns (e.g. crate resistance, potty accidents, reactivity, etc.) You’ll have a chance to ask questions, get feedback, and hear my approach This helps me understand your pup's personality and your household dynamic to create a customized training plan
Sessions
Raising a puppy is exciting but it’s also a critical window for training and socialization. Sessions are designed to be calm, structured, and tailored to your puppy’s specific needs. I use positive reinforcement methods to teach foundational skills while building confidence and trust at a pace that’s right for your dog. Each session includes: Pre-session planning based on your intake form and goals 1 on 1 hands on training customized to your puppy’s needs Follow up notes and homework to keep progress going at home Ongoing support via message if questions come up between sessions
More info
My training sessions are rooted in positive reinforcement, always tailored to your puppy’s age, energy, and learning style. I keep sessions low stress, structured, and fun for both dog and human. Unlike one size fits all programs, I take time to understand your dog’s unique personality, environment, and pace so they feel safe, seen, and supported from day one. Topics include: name recognition, crate training, housebreaking, basic commands, leash skills, socialization, nipping/jumping prevention, and building calm, confident behavior.
