What to expect
Consultation
I like to use consultations to get a good overview of your training goals, what you've tried so far, and what your expectations are for training. We may also go over things like medication, management, or any medical concerns that may affect training. I will also give you some training resources and help you learn to read your dog's body language.
Sessions
When you book your first training session, I'll outline a training plan. We can use that to guide each session, but overall the time during a session is used for what you feel helps you the most, whether that be asking questions and problem solving, showing me videos of your progress/challenges, practicing out in public or watching me work directly with your dog.
More info
I am a reward-based trainer but that’s more than just treats. I can help you build environmental rewards into your training. I do not use any punishment based methods. I am experienced with navigating the Humane Hierarchy and reducing the amount of intervention your dog requires in daily life.
