Happy Dogs. Happy Humans.
A lot of training stays at the surface with commands that often break down in real life. I focus on: - How your dog processes information - Where confusion stems from - What needs to change for behavior to shift Thus, my work creates noticeable changes not just in commands but in how your dog carries itself. I work with puppies, adult dogs, & anxious dogs - I pick up on small behavioral & physical shifts early, which helps prevent bigger issues later. When working with me, you get: - Clear, simple guidance on what to do between sessions. - An engaged & happy dog that enjoys training!

Consultation
The consultation is where I understand your dog and your situation in detail. We’ll go over: - Your dog’s history and current behavior - Specific challenging situations for you/ your dog - Patterns I’m noticing in your interactions with your dog - Patterns I’m noticing in how your dog responds As I observe your dog and how they interact with you and their environment, you’ll leave with: - A clear plan of what we’re working on - What to start doing right away - What may be unintentionally reinforcing the problem - What to stop doing right away
Sessions
Sessions are focused & straightforward - I train your dog, & also train you to train your dog. We want your dog to learn without feeling overwhelmed, so we work on one or two things at a time. Depending on your dog, this can include: - Basic obedience (sit, stay, recall, leash work) - Impulse control & calm behavior - Confidence-building exercises - Behavior work (anxiety, overexcitement, etc.) After each session, you’ll get clear guidance & notes on what to practice - you’ll have simple, manageable things to work on so progress continues outside of training.
More info
I train dogs of all ages - young pups to adult dogs needing training or behavior work. I’ve worked with hundreds of dogs over the past decade - I read the dog in front of me, understand the family's needs, & create a customized training plan. My approach is rooted in positive reinforcement & focuses on clear communication, consistency, & understanding your dog. Training isn’t just about commands. A dog can “sit” & still be anxious. So, along with commands, we focus on teaching your dog how to regulate. The goal of training is a confident, happy dog, & a healthy human-dog relationship.

Availability
I have limited availability and can only do one session a day - early afternoons or evenings on most days. I usually work with pet parents who are willing to commit to a consistent weekly schedule so that the entire team - you, your dog, & I - can have structure and continuity, which is what creates lasting change.
