Training Dogs & Teaching Owners Too
What sets me apart is my focus on long-term success, not just short-term obedience. That’s why I emphasize positive reinforcement, consistency, and repetition, while also taking the time to teach pet parents how to reinforce behaviors when I’m not there. My goal is to build clear communication, trust, and practical routines that make training sustainable in everyday life, helping dogs become confident, well-behaved companions and giving owners the tools they need to continue that progress long after our sessions end.

What to expect
Consultation
A typical consultation begins with a conversation about your dog’s background, behavior, daily routine, and any specific challenges or goals you have for training. I’ll observe how your dog interacts in their home environment and assess things like temperament, energy level, and responsiveness. During the consultation, I’ll often begin demonstrating a few foundational exercises and guide you through how to practice them so you feel comfortable reinforcing them yourself. Finally, I’ll outline recommended next steps, which may include suggested exercises to practice and building progress.
Sessions
During a typical session, we focus on practicing specific behaviors using positive reinforcement and repetition to help your dog clearly understand what’s expected. I’ll demonstrate techniques and then guide you through practicing them so you can confidently reinforce the training yourself. Pet parents should be ready to participate and stay consistent with the methods we use. Between sessions, you’ll practice the exercises we covered so your dog continues building the behavior and progress carries into everyday life.
More info
My training approach focuses on positive reinforcement, consistency, and repetition to help dogs learn and retain desired behaviors in a supportive environment. I use reward-based methods, such as treats, praise, and play, to reinforce good behaviors rather than relying on punishment. A core part of my philosophy is “training the trainer,” meaning I work not only with the dog but also with pet parents so they understand how to reinforce cues and behaviors consistently when I’m not there.

Availability
I work full time during the week, so most of my availability for training sessions is in the evenings and on weekends. I’m typically available after standard work hours on weekdays and have more flexibility on Saturdays and Sundays. I try to accommodate pet parents’ schedules whenever possible, so if you have specific timing needs, I’m happy to coordinate and find a time that works for both of us.
