Dog Training Made FUN & POSITIVE!

Hello! I’m a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Fear Free Certified, and I have been training dogs since 2015! I was the coordinator of TMH’s Animal Therapy Department and have now started my own business! As a child of two Deaf parents, I am fluent in ASL, so I am also thrilled to provide accessibility to dog training for all Deaf people as well! I specialize in dog body language and have learned to think outside of the box to work with them, and can apply my knowledge, skills, and research in science-based, positive reinforcement training to help with you and your dog's needs!

What to expect

Consultation

I do not offer free consultations, but in our first time meeting, we will discuss your dog's history, the behaviors you DO love about them, and prioritize what we can do to solve the behaviors you DON'T love about them!

Sessions

Typically in your home

During our training sessions, you can expect to learn more about how dogs learn and what we can do as their humans to help them understand whats going on. We will discuss environmental factors that we can set up for the success, as well as playing games related to the tissues you're having!

Positive Reinforcement

What is Savannah's methodology? We believe that dogs are extremely intelligent and learn better and faster without harsh corrections or force. Science has proven that by utilizing motivators that the dog enjoys and will work for, you can reinforce desired behaviors while redirecting and reducing unwanted behaviors. We will be working with motivators- so you'll need whatever your dog likes! Treats, play, praise, toys, are all encouraged! We don't prefer to use shock, prong, or choke collars as they are outdated tools and science has proven that dogs learn quicker without them!
