Positive Reinforcement Dog Training
What sets my training apart is a focus on clarity, consistency, and teaching dogs what to do instead of only correcting unwanted behavior. I build clear replacement behaviors using positive reinforcement to create trust, confidence, and lasting results without fear or intimidation. Every dog gets an individualized approach based on their temperament and needs, with training tailored for real-world success at home, on walks, and around distractions—not just in controlled settings.

What to expect
Consultation
During the initial consultation, I get to know you and your dog through a detailed discussion of history, behavior, daily routine, and training goals. I ask questions to fully understand the situation and create a tailored training plan. Clients must complete a training agreement and client information form and provide up-to-date vaccination records before training begins to ensure a safe, structured start. After the consultation, I use the information gathered to build a clear training plan and outline what our sessions will focus on moving forward.
Sessions
Each session begins with a brief progress check-in to review improvements, challenges, and goals for the day. I then demonstrate and coach you through specific skills, explaining how and why each exercise works. The first part focuses on structured obedience and skill-building, and the second part addresses behavioral issues or real-world challenges. Each session ends with clear homework to practice between sessions. Consistent work at home is essential for lasting results, and I encourage using skills in daily life to build reliability and success.
More info
My training philosophy is rooted in positive reinforcement, clear communication, and teaching dogs what to do instead of just correcting unwanted behavior. I aim to build confidence and reliable skills without fear or intimidation. I work on obedience, manners, leash skills, reactivity, behavior modification, and with service dogs, tailoring training to each dog’s personality and learning style. Sessions are structured, reward-based, and gradually increase in difficulty for real-world reliability. Owners are heavily involved so skills carry over beyond sessions and improve daily life.
