Let's make good choices!
Often people think that positive reinforcement means you are a treat machine. I strive to use what actually motivates your dog - and that's for them to decide - in order to motivate them. Some dogs work for balls or frisbee, others need to feel safe, and yes, for some it's food, but often, it's a combination and I'll utilize everything available to make training as much fun as possible for you and your dog.

Consultation
Depending upon what your goals are for training, I may request a questionnaire be filled out prior in order for us to make the most of the time at the consultation. I strive to understand exactly what your needs are and address how I believe we can achieve them. Whenever possible, I'll teach you some basics principles that you will be able to implement immediately for whatever your goals may be.
Sessions
Unless we are training for Agility, sessions will be conducted at the client's home. Depending upon our goals for the training, I may request some management, like baby gates or a crate, be utilized. Other times, we'll just need a good space to work. After our sessions, I may send an email with handouts or links to videos to support the concepts that were taught. Between sessions, I can be available via text, phone or zoom with at least a day's warning.
More info
I utilize only evidence based, modern training methods to teach your dog to make good choices, whether you're there or not! My focus is on what you DO want your dog to do, rather than what you don't. No one likes to be told no all the time! So, let's make training FUN for you and your dog. My goal is to build the bond and trust between you and your dog to create a successful team.

Availability
My schedule is flexible and I'd like to be able to accommodate most times. I find it best to train before 5PM, when at all possible.
