Helping Your Dog Build Good Habits!

What sets me apart is my calm, intuitive approach and focus on truly understanding each dog as an individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. I bring a lot of real-world experience with a wide range of animals, which helps me read behavior and adjust quickly in the moment. My background as a photographer also makes me highly observant of subtle body language cues. I prioritize building trust first, then layering in training so progress feels natural, steady, and sustainable for both dog and owner.

What to expect

Consultation

A typical consultation starts with meeting you and your dog in their home environment so I can observe natural behavior and routines. I’ll ask questions about goals, challenges, daily schedule, and any triggers or concerns. Your role is simply to be open about what’s been working and what hasn’t, and have any relevant info ready (commands used, vet notes, etc.). Afterward, I’ll outline a simple, tailored plan with next steps and follow-up guidance so you know exactly how we’ll move forward.

Sessions

Typically in your home

A typical session is structured but relaxed, focused on real-world situations your dog needs help with. We’ll work through 1–2 key goals using positive reinforcement, repetition, and clear timing so your dog understands what’s being asked. I may demonstrate first, then guide you so you can practice as well. I ask owners to stay engaged and consistent during sessions. Between sessions, you’ll continue short daily practice exercises so progress sticks and your dog builds confidence through repetition.

Positive Reinforcement

My training philosophy is rooted in positive reinforcement and reward-based methods. I focus on clear communication, patience, and consistency to help dogs learn in a way that builds confidence rather than stress. I use treats, play, and praise to reinforce desired behaviors, and adjust my approach to each dog’s personality and needs. I also pay close attention to body language and work closely with pet parents so training carries over at home and leads to lasting results.
