What to expect
Consultation
During a consultation, I will be asking you a whole lot of questions about your dog's habits, health, preferences, activities, and environment. I also will ask to observe them in one of more of their environments. We will discuss what your do already knows, and what you are hoping what you will gain from training.
Sessions
Ideally, training will consist of a couple of 5-10 minute active working sessions, with some time to decompress, with play, pets, or review games , in between. It really all depends on how your dog is faring during our time together. My requirements are that they be on leash , and that they come hungry ( so that they are eager to learn for their treats ). Please know that the dogs and the humans WILL be assigned homework.
More info
I use only positive reinforcement, and Fear-Free techniques. I also utilize your dog's strengths and preferences first and foremost in their training, preferring to honor their uniqueness as opposed to applying a cookie-cutter approach. I also have a certificate in Canine Enrichment, and incorporate LOTS of games and enrichment activities into my training.
