Reward-based Dog Trainer
I like to focus on building a strong relationship between the dog and their parent, as I believe this is a key foundation for successful training. Once that connection is established, it supports the dog’s overall confidence, optimism, and ability to trust their parent in various environments. I also consider the dog’s overall well-being, as many behavioral issues stem from unmet needs - whether physical, emotional, or mental. My training plans are creative and personalized - no two dogs are the same- and I tailor my approach to suit each dog’s unique personality and learning style.

What to expect
Consultation
I offer a free 20-minute virtual consultation to start. During this session, we’ll discuss your goals, concerns, and your dog’s unique needs. That said, every dog learns at their own pace. For long-lasting, meaningful results, it’s important that we go at the dog’s speed and adjust our approach as needed.
Sessions
Our first session is all about setting you both up for success. We’ll start by diving into the science of how dogs learn, giving you a 'behind the scenes' look at your pup’s brain. Once we have the theory down, we’ll jump into the practical skills. As your dog shows consistency, we’ll move toward real-life applications, even taking our practice outdoors if they’re ready. Above all, it is important that we move at your dog’s pace. Every session is tailored to how your pup is feeling that day, ensuring they stay confident and happy throughout the process.
More info
I believe that a well-behaved dog isn’t just one that follows commands; it’s one that feels understood. My training philosophy is rooted in the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) approach, meaning I prioritize the most humane and effective methods. I focus on building a bridge of trust between you and your dog by incorporating games and relationship-building exercises using treats. Most of the behavioral challenges can be addressed by working on that connection and trust.
