Your Dog’s New Favorite Human
What sets me apart is my focus on the whole dog, not just obedience cues. As a certified trainer with years of hands-on experience in rescue, shelter behavior, and pet dog training, I understand how genetics, stress, environment, and daily routines affect behavior. I don’t rely on cookie-cutter methods or quick fixes; I tailor everything to the individual dog in front of me. I’m calm, patient, and observant. I take time to understand a dog’s emotional state before asking them to learn anything. My goal is for every dog to feel safe, confident, and understood while they’re with me.

What to expect
Consultation
During your consultation, I’ll get to know your dog, understand your goals, and assess the behaviors you’d like help with. You’ll only need your dog and some treats and toys, nothing else required. Afterward, I’ll give you a clear plan and recommendations so you know exactly what the next steps are.
Sessions
Training sessions start with a brief check-in and observation of your dog’s current emotional state, since behavior and learning are influenced by stress, sleep, health, and environment. From there, we’ll work through specific exercises tailored to your behavior goals whether we’re teaching foundational skills, building confidence, or addressing reactivity or fear. You’ll need your dog and high-value treats, but most importantly, an openness to slow down, work thoughtfully, and support your dog’s learning.
More info
I train dogs the same way I’d want someone to train my dog: with kindness, clarity, and realistic expectations. I use positive reinforcement and reward good choices, and I spend a lot of time helping dogs feel safe and understood before asking them to learn anything big. Every dog is different, so I tailor my approach to the dog in front of me. Some need structure, some need confidence, some need decompression, and some need all three! I focus on clear communication. My whole goal is to help you end up with a dog who’s not just well-behaved, but actually enjoys learning and living with you.
