Building Harmony and Happiness
My mission is to build harmony and happiness with your beloved four legged family member. Prior to becoming a Professional Dog Trainer, I fostered local rescues for 15 years and was tasked with rehabilitating difficult dogs that had physical and emotional trauma. I focus on improving the dog's emotional well being because I believe emotions drive behavior. I've raised service dogs for 7 years beginning at 8 weeks of age until 18 months. They are taught basic obedience, house manners, socialization, and are prepared for the service dog evaluation test.
What to expect
Consultation
During your consultation, we'll discuss all the details about your dog's history, personality, challenges and your training goals. We'll review different options and customize a training program to address your dog's needs. It will also give you the opportunity to ask questions and decide if it's the right fit for you and your pup.
Sessions
In your first session, we'll work on building a strong foundation to set your pup up for success, which will include some basic training concepts and ground work. You'll need plenty of treats for rewards. I will send an email with a recap of the session and your homework. Any applicable handouts will be provided at the session.

Experience
I utilize reward based training methods and positive reinforcement while providing a customized program for each dog's specific needs. For behavioral problems, reward and relaxation strategies are employed to change the emotional state of dogs and help them moderate their own emotions. Following the LIMA Principle (Least Invasive Minimally Aversive), the techniques aim to build a strong relationship between dog and owner and change the dog's perception of their environment to promote emotional stability and resilience.
