Pup Perfect Training
As a long-time pet owner, pet sitter and walker and now pet trainer, I’ve steadily worked to gain experience and training to follow my passion of working with and caring for animals. As a child my goal was to become a veterinarian but I knew I could not do surgery. So this work feeds my soul while I practice another career. I worked as Communucations Mgr. for PetSmart Charities for a few years and have volunteered at animal shelters so I have learned a great deal about the unique challenges of shelter/adopted pets.
What to expect
Consultation
I look forward to meeting your furry friend and helping to strengthen their skills and bond with you. During our initial consult, I will listen and learn about your pet’s knowledge, behaviors, fears and motivations as well as your goals in order to put together a custom training plan to meet your needs. I may ask to witness some of their problem behaviors and/or how you are managing individual scenarios to learn what isn’t working. I may also like to see them perform learned cues to understand their existing knowledge and fluency with training and what motivates them.

Per the Perfect Pup philosophy, all of my training is positive reinforcement and rewards focused. Your pup will never be punished or forced to do anything they don’t want to do.

I’m generally available M-F and prefer to train in the mornings during summer due to the heat outside for the comfort and safety of the dogs.
