I Train People and Their Dogs ❤️
As a former teacher and a full-time pet sitter of 4+ years, I specialize in training both dogs and their humans. I’ve worked with dozens of dogs and know that success comes from consistency, communication, and practice—not punishment. My goal isn’t just to teach your dog new skills, but to help you understand how to reinforce those skills long after our sessions are over.

What to expect
Consultation
Our first session will be a chance for me to learn from you and your pooch! I'll hear from you what your challenges are, and I'll do an assessment to get an understanding of what your sweety already knows and does well, and where there is room for improvement. By your first session, you will likely already see some changes in your dog's behavior, and I'll give you a training plan where I'll teach you specific customized activities for you to do with your dog on your own.
Sessions
Each session will start with treats! I want them to look forward to the training they do with me -- and, more importantly, for the training they do with you. I'll find out from you what you and your dog are struggling with, and I'll lead you and them in lessons to teach them what they need to learn to succeed in their next level of doggie manners and adaptability. I'll give you customized activities to work with your pooch on that will not take much time -- and in some cases won't take any time at all, such as while you're already out on your walk. Our sessions will be fun for you and them!

Dogs aren’t born knowing the rules of living in a human world. We can’t hand them a manual explaining where to go to the bathroom, what to chew, how to walk on a leash, or when to bark. My approach uses positive reinforcement, treats, repetition, and consistency to teach dogs what we want while helping guardians communicate clearly. I believe dogs are happiest when they understand what’s expected of them, and training works best when humans learn alongside their dogs.

I'm a full-time petsitter primarily in NYC and Westchester. I arrange my days around the needs of the animals I'm watching, but otherwise my schedule is very flexible. I do sometimes petsit out of the NY area, when I would be available for virtual consults.
