Ethical, Effective and fun for all!
My training is first and foremost focused on the welfare of animals because I think lots of unwanted behavior can be traced back to a lack of needs being met, and my job is to help you figure how to meet those needs. I love to work with adolescents, working on enrichment, exercise and creative solutions. I also have lots of experience in puppy raising, and have raised my own puppy to be a service dog in training.

What to expect
Consultation
During a consultation, I will ask a lot of questions to get a full view of your pets life and their habits as well as other things that might impact behavior. We will also discuss your goals with training and I can give you an estimate of sessions based on my knowledge and a loose plan of what we would be doing. After that, if you decide to continue with my services, we can discuss payment and logistics.
Sessions
In your session I ask that you are prepared with a treat pouch, clicker, treats (high and low value and that your pup is ready. We will start by reviewing your goals, I will tell you my plan and goals for the session then we will get to training! I will show you how to do the exercises but prefer to have my clients do most of the training, as I want them to have the skills to practice and continue after we have finished with our sessions. Between sessions I will outline any homework I have for you, which will look like 2-5 minute sessions 1-2 times daily.
More info
I strongly believe in using positive reinforcement, and have seen the results firsthand with my own pets and my clients. Training using positive reinforcement and rewards-be that food, treats, toys or something else-is not only effective, it’s ethical and proven to work. I am committed to not using any aversives in my training including but not limited to shock collars, e collars, prong collars and slip collars.
