Striving to Bark with Serenity
At the heart of my training programs is Positive Reinforcement. Instead of focusing on what your dog does wrong, I teach them exactly what you want them to do right. I like to focus of the pup pups dealing with separation anxiety No Pain, No Fear: I strictly avoid aversive tools like shock collars, choke chains, or prong collars. This prevents anxiety and creates a safe, engaging environment for your dog to learn.

Consultation
My in-depth assessment usually takes 60 to 90 minutes History Intake: I ask questions about the dog's history Video Review: You will supply video of what the dog does when you leave, or simulate a brief departure during the call while the trainer observes the dog's body language. Management Plan: Since the dog cannot be left alone while training, you will build a "suspended absences" plan—arranging for pet sitters, rearranging work schedules, or utilizing daycare so the dog does not experience panicked alone time during the training window.
Sessions
Setup: You will set up a Wi-Fi camera or video call on a tablet or phone to monitor the dog, Pre-Departure Cue: You will act out a standard "leaving" cue (like picking up keys or putting on a jacket) but immediately sit back down, showing the dog these actions don't always mean a departure. Micro-Absence: You will step out the door (or to an adjoining room) for a duration slightly under the dog's panic threshold (often as short as 5 to 10 seconds).
