Behavior Support Specialist
Dogs with behavior issues need support beyond basic obedience cues. Many of my past clients have had dogs who knew every trick in the book, but the one thing they couldn't figure out how to teach on their own was how to calm down. These dogs would suddenly lose the ability to listen to commands when distressed, leaving their owners frustrated and confused. The missing piece? Addressing the underlying stress the dogs were experiencing allowed them to regain control and live happier lives.

What to expect
Consultation
During your initial consultation, we will review your training goals and any behavior concerns. I will ask questions to help me understand you and your dog, as well as your home environment and lifestyle. The more information I have, the better I will be able to customize your training. We will discuss a training plan and schedule your first lesson
Sessions
We start each lesson with time to discuss any new issues and to review the skills we will be using that day. Then its time to put your dog to work and practice the new skills with me there so we can identify any changes that we need to make. We will end the session with a quick recap and a chance to set goals for the time between now and your next session, which we will schedule before I leave.

As a trainer who specializes in behavior support, my first step will always be to understand your individual dog and why they behave the way they do. My goal is to support you in helping your dog live their best life. I will help you learn to communicate with each other effectively, develop routines that work for you both, and teach training excercises to practice changing unwanted behaviors.

I prefer to work anytime on weekends or during the day on weekdays, but I can be flexible with appointment times. Feel free to ask for whatever day/time you need and I will do my best to accommodate you!
