Helping Dogs One Person At A Time
Hi! I'm Melissa, a CDT who has been working professionally training dogs for a little over 3 years for Petco, now working independently. I truly enjoy what I do, bringing dogs and their guardians together and helping them form strong bonds through training. I primarily focus on obedience training for both young puppies and adult dogs, with emphasis on relationship based training. Rest assured that with me, you and your pup will get the help you need, all while having a good time enjoying the journey.

What to expect
Consultation
Consultations with me will be 30 minutes to 1 hour. We will sit down to discuss what your training goals are along with exercise and enrichment. I will al so go over what cues your pup already knows, working on strengthening those cues and going over new ones briefly for possible future sessions. From there, we will discuss a schedule the right training plan for you and your pup.
Sessions
Sessions with me will start with how things have been going since we have last spoke, along with any new concerns or questions. Each session with me lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour, diving right in to the new curriculum for the week. At the end of the session, you will receive homework from me to work on until the next session. Your pup will also get some good play time, if appropriate for working hard!

Through patience, consistency and trust, I help guardians and their beloved dogs form long lasting relationships through clear and healthy communication. In my program, I make sure to emphasize play and fun with my training, ensuring that both you and your beloved companion equally have a wonderful time while getting the best training experience.

I am available Monday through Friday in the afternoons, but will only have availability later in the evenings for Mondays and Thursdays after 4:00 pm.
