Training for your whole household
I don't just train the dog, I help the household live well together. NYC means small apartments, busy schedules, little time for drills, so plans are built around your real life. I'm methodical: every session has notes on what we covered, what to practice, and what to watch for, so progress never feels like a guess. I'm also available for async questions between sessions, so you're not stuck waiting on a hard moment until next time. This work is personal too. I raised my once-fearful rescue, so I know how isolating a struggling dog can feel, and I bring real patience, not just technique.

Consultation
A consultation runs 45-60 minutes, in person or video, depending on your situation. We'll talk through your dog's history, what's working, and where you want change. I'll watch how your dog moves through their space and spot what's driving the behaviors. Come ready to share what daily life actually looks like, the good and the frustrating. The more honest the picture, the better I can help. You'll leave with a written plan covering what I'm seeing, what we'll work on, and next steps. If it's a good fit, we can book your first session on the spot.
Sessions
Sessions run 60 minutes, same as the consultation, and frequency is based on progress, not a fixed schedule. Some households move quickly, others benefit from sticking closer together early on. We'll find the pace that works for you and your dog. Expect hands-on coaching plus explanation. I'll work directly with your dog, and also make sure you understand the why, so you can keep it going on your own. Between sessions, you'll get homework. Consistency matters more than perfection, since progress happens between visits too. If something comes up, I'm available for quick check-ins.
More info
My approach is force-free and fear-free. Dogs make the most progress when they feel safe enough to think, not react. I specialize in fearful and reactive dogs, but the same principles build great manners in any dog. NYC training has real challenges: small apartments, crowded sidewalks, elevators, busy schedules. I live it too, so I help you handle it without it becoming a second job. For me, training is about the household, not just the dog. I coach you alongside your dog so changes stick. My goal is a calmer life for everyone, the same thing I learned raising my own once-fearful rescue.
