Positive training, positive results
Hi, I’m Megan, the sole trainer here. My husband, Tim, helps assist with other day-to-day operations, like maintenance and cleaning. We're excited to have you part of our pack! What sets me apart is that I combine clear structure with positive reinforcement to create training that’s both effective and enjoyable for your dog. I use rewards (food, praise, play) to teach and motivate, helping dogs clearly understand what to do. This builds confidence, engagement, and a dog that wants to work with you—not one that’s confused or shut down.

What to expect
Consultation
A typical consultation is all about understanding your dog, your goals, and what’s really going on beneath the surface of the behavior. We start with a conversation about your dog’s history, daily routine, personality, and any challenges you’re seeing. I’ll ask questions about things like exercise, structure, boundaries, and past training so I can identify patterns and root causes—not just symptoms.
Sessions
We start by talking through how things have been going since the last session—what’s improved, where you’re stuck, and any new behaviors that have come up. From there, we jump into training. We focus on a few key skills at a time—like leash work, place, recall, or impulse control—so your dog isn’t overwhelmed. I’ll demonstrate first, then coach you through it so you understand the timing, positioning, and how to use positive reinforcement effectively.
More info
My approach to training is built on clear communication, structure, and trust. Dogs thrive when they understand what’s expected of them, and my goal is to create that clarity in a way that’s fair, consistent, and easy for both the dog and owner to follow. I use a relationship-based approach that combines guidance, repetition, and positive reinforcement to teach dogs what to do, while also holding them accountable in a humane and appropriate way. It’s not just about commands—it’s about helping dogs make better choices in real-life situations.
