A trainer for all
I am a trainer that listens to not only the owner but the dog as well. I have not only the education with dog training but also in the grooming world, veterinary world and even my horse training has brought my skills to a unique level as I can read the dog’s body language and see things others might see. I keep my education in training practices up to date and I don’t just go with the latest trend as like people all dogs learn different and that needs to be looked at not just the dog or breed.

What to expect
Consultation
During the consultation, I will speak with owner about what behaviors, issues and manners they are looking to get corrected. I will want to watch the dog meet the dog and see how the dog acts with the family and in the house. Only requirement is dog is either outside or on leash when I arrive so I can come in without the dog causing stress to owner. After the consult a day and time for the first session will be set and a bit of homework to be done before the next session.
Sessions
The first session is the start of setting manners and working on the most important issue the owner has and needs fixed before moving to the other concerns. The session is about an hour long and can go a bit beyond when questions come up. The next session is set before the end of session and between sessions owner and dog will work on the items worked on in the session, owners are told that if trouble occurs they can contact me with questions or for help.
More info
I work with the dog and how it will learn, not by harsh corrections but with redirection, interactions with praising the proper behavior and stopping the unwanted behavior and directing the dog to what is wanted and then praising. Treats, verbal, and petting are used. Giving the dog education toys, to make the dog think, learn and not become over the top in energy, frustration or stress. Reading the dog’s body language so to know when the dog has been given to much or if the tact the dog is going to try is changing.
