multi disciplinary & experienced!
I have experience working not only in basic obedience and house manners for companion animals, but a background also in task training service animals, and working with dogs with serious behavioral concerns both in a home, and shelter setting. I believe every dog deserves an individual approach, and that all avenues should be explored (including genetics, potential medical concerns, known history, daily routine, and more!). My goal is to help you and your dog both, and develop communication and understanding between you that lasts long after our final session!

What to expect
Consultation
During your consultation, we will discuss your concerns, your dog’s known behavioral and medical history, your goals, and potential pathways forward. I’ll get to meet your furry friend and do an initial assessment myself of their personality and what may motivate them best! On that note, if they have a favorite treat, toy, or other motivator you think should be used in training - please have it on hand! I am glad to answer any questions you may have, and how the training plan may adjust as we move forward and I better understand your pet!
Sessions
The content of our training sessions will depend heavily on what the goal of our training is! Initially I am looking to see where your dog is at, what they will be most motivated by, and any potential roadblocks to success. I am always open to your input and feedback as I advise on next steps, and we will create a game plan for the time in between sessions to help you maintain structure and implement the skills and routines necessary to achieve and maintain the desired results.
More info
Every dog has individual needs and requirements, both in training and general fulfillment. Training is not one size (or approach) fits all, and considering all factors is important to me. I believe as well, that through their behavior - dogs are always communicating something to us. It is our job to understand what that is, and how to best help them!
