I use positive reinforcement and fear-free methods because I’ve seen them work with even the most fearful or reactive dogs. I focus on fostering strong bonds between dogs and their pet parents, involving owners in the training process so they feel empowered and supported during training and beyond. I strive to make sessions enjoyable for both dogs and their owners, creating a positive and effective learning environment. I offer a variety of classes and specialty sessions that can be tailored to each dog’s personality, learning style, and individual needs.

What to expect
Consultation
Basic Obedience Consultation - $25 (1/2 hr) Behavior Modification Consultation - $150 (1 hr) (In-depth consult with observation, intake forms, liability waivers, etc during Behavior Modification Consults) During your consultation, we will discuss the type of training you’re looking for, your goals, and expectations for yourself, your dog, and me as your trainer. I will review recommended training options, pricing, liability forms, and what is included in your program. We will also go over your dog’s vaccination status and discuss any updates needed prior to beginning training.
Sessions
Training sessions vary depending on the type of work we are doing, but most follow a similar structure. I always explain what I am doing and why, working directly with your dog while you watch. Once your dog understands a cue, I guide you in practicing it yourself. In a typical session, we usually cover 3–6 cues. Between sessions, you and your dog will continue practicing these cues to build mastery. At the start of the next session, we review previously learned cues before moving on to new material.

Availability
I am retired military, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I am unavailable Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. Specific availability can be discussed during the consultation (phone or in person). Also, a travel fee may apply depending on distance, drive time, location, or scheduling demand and will be communicated prior to booking confirmation.Travel fees for mobile training sessions are calculated round trip from Trainer’s home location (Waikiki). The first 10 total miles are included at no additional charge.
