GCT using +R training for bonding!
I was accredited by a big box store and was formerly an approved CGC evaluator. I have experience training service dogs, dogs with disabilities, and training in ASL. I've been training independently since leaving the big box store and recently completed the GoodPup Certification. My specialty is in +R training, helping pets and their parents have fun and solidify behaviors for reduced stress and lifelong companionship! If you struggle with training your dog, it could be that you're not "hearing" their needs. Let me help bridge the connection gap and get you and your pup on the same page!

What to expect
Consultation
During a consultation, we'll go over the basics such as how long the dog has been in your home, how many people reside/are regularly in your home, the main problem areas you experience, and start to formulate a game plan, should you decide to continue.
Sessions
Training sessions should be challenging but rewarding! If you decide to commit to our training plan, we will dive right in to your main area of concern in the first session. You'll be given homework to work on which addresses your concerns. Just like humans, every dog is different, so the most important thing is consistency! You may see a huge improvement in one session, you may not, but consistency is key to creating and reinforcing the behaviors you want to see continue over time.
More info
Every dog CAN learn with the right training approach and tools. I am a big believer in rewarding what's right and redirecting what's undesirable in most situations. Doing this gives the dog replacement behaviors for the ones we DON'T want to continue while also reinforcing the good things they're doing along the way!

Availability
I do work a "day job" but it is work from home and flexible so I can often book appointments during the work day as well. It will depend on my meeting schedule if I have an opportunity to schedule a training session before +/- 4pm.
