Empowering dogs and their people
Sure, dog training is about understanding and communicating with dogs. But it's just as much (if not more) about understanding and communicating with people. I prioritize building trust with the dog guardians just as much as with the dog, and creating a safe space for both people and dogs to learn and grow.

What to expect
Consultation
During our initial phone consultation I'll get a brief outline of the behavior concerns you're experiencing, give some insights into what may be going on, and give you some more detail about my training methodologies. These free consultations can last up to 15 minutes.
Sessions
During our initial session we will take a comprehensive history of your dogs behavior, and your lifestyle, to begin the process of building a training plan. Expect a lot of talking during the first session, and future sessions will be a combination of talking and active training time, in which I guide you through our training plan.
More info
There are lots of terms for the training style that I do: positive reinforcement, LIMA (least invasive, minimally aversive), force-free, rewards-based, science-based, etc. Lots of terms for what can essentially be boiled down to this: I train using the most up to date methods that are the most humane and fun for the dog.

Availability
I work Sundays-Thursdays, from 11am-7pm. These days I book out about a week in advance, but I'm pretty flexible and will try my best to accommodate you. Please note: Rover is new to offering training, and they are still working out some scheduling kinks. What is listed on my profile may not reflect my true availability at this time. Thank you for your patience!
