Effective and Enjoyable

I may not be your first dog trainer, but I’ll be the last you need. With a decade of experience, I personalize your program to your dog’s needs, whether that’s learning new skills, working through reactivity, or simply learning tricks. Dogs in my care get thoughtful training, clear communication, and a handler who actually understands behavior—not just management.

What to expect

Consultation

An evaluation is a one-hour in-home session where I get to meet you and your dog, see their behavior in their normal environment, and learn what your goals are. During that time, we talk through any concerns you have, I answer questions, and I assess your dog’s behavior, temperament, and training needs. By the end of the evaluation, I’m able to recommend programs that are tailored specifically to your dog and your lifestyle so you know exactly what the next steps look like. It typically takes 30–60 minutes, with no obligation to continue unless you choose to.

Sessions

Typically in your home

Private lessons are a blast! We get together for an hour where I teach you how to train your dog. Lessons start with a little chatting before I work your dog, then I coach you through the “how to” and ensure you can apply the methods without me. My sessions tend to feel like two people hanging out and playing with your dog. Afterwards you’ll get homework assigned to complete with your dog before our next session, which I will message to you as a reminder. It’s weekly session to have fun with your dog! Of course I’m always a text away for support between lesson dates.

LIMA & Cynopraxic Methods

Dog's hold a special place in society and have for millennia. They are pictured throughout history at our sides and in our laps. They share our homes and our hearts. This guides my core principle of training: the dog-human relationship. My training is relationship based training. I use science backed behavior modification techniques with the goal being to enhance the quality of life of both the human and the dog.
