Putting paws first in the world
Putting paws first in the world, that’s what I live by. I’ve worked with behaviorally challenged dogs since high school, with a lot of focus on reactivity of all sorts. I have an educational background in animal behavior and psychology. I’ve worked with all manner of species, and each one has taught me something new. From birds to coyotes, I am no stranger to the abnormal.

What to expect
Consultation
During a consultation, I want to get to know you, your dog, and your goals. All I require from you is honesty, I can’t help set you or your dog up for success if I’m working on half the information. After the consultation, I’ll give you my recommendation and work to set up a game plan with you.
Sessions
Sessions will be hands on and involved, I’m working with you to train your dog; I’m not the one doing a majority of the work. Sessions will be a good mix of education and practice, setting you and your dog up for success as we move towards our training goals.
More info
My training methods are strictly reward based. The rewards can be a wide variety of things, but I always want to work with what the dog likes best. Sometimes that is a treat or a toy, other times it’s getting to sniff a bush. Every variable changes between dogs, they are individuals with their own unique personality. It also changes depending on what our goals are and how your dog responds to different reward types. What I want is to set you and your dog up for success; no more and no less. None of my training plans will ever quite be the same, they are tailored to your dog specifically.
