CCPDT Trainer-Teacher
I believe a healthy human-dog relationship built on empathy and understanding is absolutely central to the dog training process. A dog's mental health is just as important as getting results. I strongly value progress and will always work towards improvement in your dog's behavior, yet each dog is unique and I believe it's important to set realistic and achievable goals that will work for both you and your dog.

What to expect
Consultation
Your consultation will begin by reviewing your dog's history, physical health, and current behavior and then we will set realistic and achievable training goals. Your consultation will also include an introductory training lesson so you can begin working with your dog right away. 75 minutes.
Sessions
For follow up lessons after the consultation, I like to first go over how both dog and human are progressing and if there are any places they are unsure about or are feeling stuck. Then we will practice what we've already learned before moving on to next steps. Every training session will build on the previous one, so it's important that clients do the work in between lessons. 50 minutes.
More info
I view myself primarily as a teacher of dog training. Dog training is a lifelong process built on a solid and trusting human-dog relationship that will continue long after your training program is completed. Since you are the one who lives with your dog, you will be practicing with your dog in between lessons. Therefore, my goal for all my clients is that they have begun building that healthy relationship with their dog, that they understand their dog's behavior, and that they feel confident working with their dog on their own at the end of their time with me.
