CPDT-KA Setting You Up for Success!
I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - KA and have trained hundreds of dogs in the city since 2015. Giving you the skills and techniques that you will be able to apply rewards-based, positive reinforcement tools to accomplish your training, behavior modification, and/or enrichment goals, is the essence of how I can teach you to create a happy home with your happy pup. I also provide a training or behavior-consultation plan before a lesson or behavior consultation, and an optional free, complimentary phone or video check in after each lesson.

What to expect
Consultation
Before the initial brief video consultation you will be given a questionnaire that will give you an opportunity to explain your training and/or behavior goals for you and your dog. During the initial consultation we will review those goals and develop a game plan for moving forward, including a recommendation regarding the number of sessions it might take to accomplish your goals
Sessions
During a training session we will work on the specific skills that will help you to achieve your training goals. I will give hands-on-demonstrations of how to “shape” and then “cue” the desired behavior. Then you will be given the opportunity to practice the implementation of each skill. We’ll troubleshoot and discuss any questions throughout this process. At the end of the session discuss next steps and determine the day and time for the optional 15-minute virtual check-in. Proof of rabies, Bordetella, Leptospira, and DA2PP, vaccinations is required before the start of the session.
More info
I believe in, and practice, humane and positive-focused dog training with puppy, adolescent, adult, and senior dogs of many kinds — from 5-pound Chihuahuas to 120-pound Rottweilers. I have a particular interest in helping reactive, anxious, and exuberant dogs to reach their full potential. I do this while helping their human companions develop the skills and mind-set that they can apply to provide the best care possible for their dogs and to nurture a mutually fulfilling and positive relationship with them.
