Fun and effective dog training
I have many years of experience and gained certifications, but also do a lot of continuing education to this day. I've worked for myself before but also others: Freedom Service Dogs, Petco, Petsense and Paw School. I have an extensive network of professional dog trainers with whom I can also better understand and learn from.

What to expect
Consultation
During our consultation, we will go over in depth your dog's history, the goals you have, and begin formulating plans and initial exercises to meet your goals.
Sessions
You should expect to have plenty of treats for your dog that are motivating and we can go over what will work best in your consultation. A use of a clicker is optional; otherwise we will go over how to use clicker/marker training to teach behaviors, as well as how to better understand your dog and manage him or her for success. We will go over key concepts for success, and I will instruct you as you work with your dog, in addition to showing you what to do. I am also hear to encourage you--not make you feel bad or hurt your dog!
More info
In my 15 years of experience, good training is about observation and understanding. It's important to understand how to motivate the dog and their person, and to make the process clear and simple, rather than overwhelm. For problem behaviors in particular, coming up with a plan that will work to prevent the behavior, address any emotional or medical needs, and then work to teach an alternate behavior through positive reinforcement is key. And it should be fun and understandable for all involved!
