Professional R+ Puppy & Dog Trainer
I’m a professional dog trainer (MSEd, GoodPup Certified Trainer, APDT International Member, NYS Canine Expo participant) specializing in positive reinforcement, enrichment, and real-world training. I work with puppies, adult dogs, and those who need behavior support, tailoring each session to the individual dog. I also partner with a local shelter, bringing experience with a wide range of needs and temperaments. I offer private sessions and Adventure Training (local and Adirondack options), combining hands-on training, exercise, and enrichment for reliable results.

What to expect
Consultation
30 mins.-1 hr.: I’ll meet you and your dog, observe their behavior, and we’ll talk about their history, routines, and your training goals. You’ll get a walkthrough of your Welcome Folder, and (if your dog is comfortable) try a training cue and the marker word “Yes.” We’ll finish by scheduling your first session together and leaving time for any questions. *Travel is available within 40 miles of Canastota. $10-15 travel rate applies for locations 15+ miles away — you’ll be notified of the exact amount for your location before booking/payment!
Sessions
Private Sessions: Each 1-hr. session starts with playtime to warm up your dog, then we train with treats and fun activities. At the end, I provide a brief note for practice, answer questions, and we schedule your next session! Adventure Training: 2-hr. or 4-hr. day train experience. I provide door-to-trail transportation with a safety-tested car harness. Your dog gets focused training, exercise, and enrichment! You get photos, videos, and organized notes for home practice. I’m also available by phone or text between sessions, and progress updates are welcome and encouraged!
More info
I use positive reinforcement with one-on-one, treat, play, and environmental rewards-based training to help dogs learn skills, build confidence, and strengthen their bond with you. Sessions combine fun activities and guided adventures, and are rooted in kindness, consistency, and clear communication. I don’t use any aversive tools or methods such as e-collars or prong collars — so your dog gets a training experience that is both fun and effective!
