Empathy for both ends of the leash!

I have 10+ years of formal education and experience. I have been involved in the animal world since I was tiny! From working in boarding kennels and vets offices as a teenager, to the show ring, I have a little of everything. I love serving in the community. I am involved in 4-H, as well as sitting on the board of several rescues. I love addressing behavior cases for both cats and dogs. Teaching people to teach their animals is my favorite!

What to expect

Consultation

Once you book I will send you questionnaires and some paperwork from my business email. Once those are filled out we can move forward with planning our session! A meet and greet is not necessary unless we are working with an aggression case where someone or something has been bitten. Then we will go over safety protocols virtually. Please note that I offer behavior consultations as well as training sessions. They are priced differently. Training sessions are for teaching typical manners, behavior consultations are for working through difficult behaviors.

Sessions

Typically in your home

I will start by getting to know your dog. I do this by running you through some simple exercises, observing how your dog learns, and how your dog interacts with me. If it is a consultation we will observe behavior and I will take notes.

10 years experience
Positive Reinforcement

I focus on communication and relationship based training. I aim to always operate from a place of empathy. Teaching our dogs to live with us, as well as learning to live with them, is one of the foundations of my training. I teach you how to communicate boundaries and your expectations to your dog. And most importantly, having empathy for both ends of the leash!
