🐶Learn to understand your dog
I am a retired teacher, dog trainer, pet sitter and animal lover. I have lived in New Jersey all of my life. Over the years my pet care experiences range from working in kennels, pet sitting, grooming, and dog training. I am a certified AKC C.G.C. and Puppy S.T.A.R. Evaluator. I volunteer at a local rescue group as well as animal advocacy fundraising events.

What to expect
Consultation
Training treats: You will need “high value” treats that your dog will absolutely love to work for as a reward. A six-foot leash and collar/harness. *No retractable leashes please. Your dog should be slightly hungry when he comes to class. Do not feed your dog a full meal before class. Also, it is best to walk or exercise your dog before class to get the “zoomies out” so they are more focused on training. Proof of Vaccination records.
Sessions
The goal of this class is to build a relationship of love and respect between you and your dog. I will teach you how to train your dog basic skills and manners through consistent and patient positive reinforcement and socialization.
More info
Dogs are wonderful companions and life with your best friend should be enjoyable. My training style is based on positive reinforcement and verbal praise which encourages a special bond between you and your dog. I believe all you need is love, patience and dedication. Learning about your dog and how to effectively interact together will help promote balance and happiness. Training can be a fun and social learning experience that will help enhance communication between you and your dog.
