Building Bonds, Reshaping Behavior!
Welcome to the "Cute & Complicated Club!" This is a Judgement-Free Zone, so there's no blaming and shaming of guardians. I think patience and communication are some of my stand-out skills when people work with me. And my sense of humor - you've gotta laugh! I take the time to explain things thoroughly so you understand exactly what's going on and what we're going to do to change things.

Consultation
I hold initial consultations virtually because it’s the most effective way to gather your dog’s history, build a tailored plan, and help you start training - without disrupting your home’s dynamics or pushing your dog over threshold! I don’t need to see a behavior to address it; in many cases, the goal is to prevent it. I’ll ask targeted questions to create a custom plan and walk you through how virtual training works. Follow-up sessions may be virtual or in person depending on your dog’s behaviors, needs and your location.
Sessions
Before sessions, I may send a prep email with what to have ready (treats, toys, walking gear, access/visuals, etc). I recommend taking notes, and I’ll send a detailed follow-up afterward. I ask that all household members attend so everyone stays aligned and moves forward as a team! I work to keep dogs below threshold, so I never provoke behavior; if it happens naturally, I’ll observe. Fearful/shy dogs may be ignored until they choose to engage. Please allow your dog to act naturally! Above all, keep an open mind - I’ll be bringing the science of dog behavior to our sessions!
More info
I teach dogs and their humans using force-free (FF), positive reinforcement (R+) methods! I use scientific principles to keep dogs below threshold and in a learning state of mind so they can absorb all the wonderful information we're trying to teach them. Small steps lead to BIG WINS! And I love to celebrate every win (big and SMALL!) with dog parents along the journey.
