Helping pups & humans grow together
In addition to obtaining my training certification through GoodPup, I have two years of experience working with dozens of dogs and pet parents across my very own neighborhood and the greater DMV area. Our routines, patterns, and human systems can impact the regulation and conditioned responses of our most cared for companions. I train pet parents to understand their individual pet's needs, attune to their communication, and respond most effectively to curb destructive behaviors. I also advise on when alternative behavioral interventions may be needed for more severe cases.

What to expect
Consultation
During a consultation, we will discuss the scope and depth of the training to make sure we are a good fit. If so, we will discuss next steps for facilitating your pet parent journey.
Sessions
During sessions, there will be a mix of live training and discussion about habits, needs, and goals for both human and pet. My role is to guide you through the process of understanding and communicating with your dog so that you can both bring out the best in each other, whether that is in setting gentle boundaries, adjusting a routine to include more physical and mental enrichment, or helping you handle stressful situations. Between sessions, I will provide instructions for maintaining our progress and be available for any questions or urgent training needs.
More info
I believe in helping pet parents re-condition pets using positive reinforcement, trust-building, and non-dominant leadership. I specialize in reducing anxiety-driven or other disruptive behaviors, such as leash pulling, excessive jumping/barking at dogs, human adults, or children, and separation angst. I feel the most rewarding part of this process is seeing the relationship and bond grow between pet and parent, and both growing into healthier expressions of themselves.
