Let's Talk About Your Dog

I'm a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KSA) and Rescue Dog Behavior Expert with a decade of animal welfare and shelter experience, helping dogs and the people who love them reach their full potential through compassionate, knowledgeable care.

What to expect

Consultation

I prefer to begin with a virtual or phone consultation so I can learn more about your dog, their behavior, your training goals, and what you’d like to accomplish. There’s nothing formal you need to prepare, just come ready to share what you’ve been experiencing and any questions you may have. Shortly after our initial consultation, we’ll meet in person to work with your dog and go over training techniques and processes that fit their individual needs.

Sessions

Typically in your home

Training sessions are hands-on and tailored to you and your dog. We’ll work together on your specific training goals while I teach you how to effectively communicate with and support your dog. Between sessions, I’ll provide clear, actionable exercises and training plans for you to practice at home. Consistent practice helps your dog build new skills and allows us to make meaningful progress together. Each session will build on what you’ve already accomplished while adjusting the plan as needed.

Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive

My training philosophy is rooted in LIMA: Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive. I focus on understanding each pet’s individual needs, motivations, environment, and the function of their behavior. Rather than simply stopping unwanted behaviors, I teach and reinforce appropriate alternatives. Using positive reinforcement, management, and evidence-based strategies, I create realistic training plans that support the animal’s welfare and fit into everyday life, helping pets and their families build lasting skills and stronger relationships.
