Professional Service Dog Trainer
I love training people how to work with their own dogs. Each dog is different so it is fun to find out what is going to work for their dog and their lifestyle. If you are busy and can’t make as much time for training as you’d like I do offer drop in sessions where I do all the work and teach your pup the basics and then have a session where I teach you what your pup has learned and how to follow through. I am happy to customize each session to your needs. I am also available via text once we have a session set up together so I can help answer questions in between appointments.

What to expect
Consultation
Consultations are so you get to know me and make sure I'm a good fit for what you are looking for. Typically these are a 30 minute session where we will go over what you are looking to work on and I will give some advice on the spot along with what a training plan might look like for your dog. Afterwards we can go forward with booking some training sessions. We will pick what skills you want to focus on and this can adapt throughout our sessions.
Sessions
We will dive right in to training after we have had a consult. This means we will be working in your home (or the environment that is necessary for what we are working on) right away! I will show you the method and demo with your dog and then have you try while I walk you through the steps for success. I’ll bring some treats but you should also have some treats ready as well so we can find what your dog likes best. Once the session is over and another is booked you are welcome to text me with questions. I love to give training, care and nutrition advice.

I believe in the power of positive reinforcement. Puppies are my specially as I love working through those tough times as well as teaching about proper reinforcement and socialization. I spent 8 years training volunteers and inmates on how to raise and train service dogs. I can teach anything from basics to advanced skills. I am also a firm believer in good nutrition for your pets and happy to provide some consulting on that as well during your sessions.

Nights and weekends work best but I can make lunchtime visits to do training sessions while you are at work too. Happy to chat and figure out what works best for you!
