I have worked with dogs for over 15 years, starting by raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. I solve problems by identifying the root cause and finding a solution particular to the situation. While I use evidence based methodology, I tailor each training program to the owner's needs and the dog's unique personality. I am only offering virtual services, so all consultations and sessions will be done over video chat. You can also message me with questions any time!

What to expect
Consultation
During a video consultation, I will ask you about your goals, your dog's history and behavior, your schedule, and your home environment (and other relevant places your dog goes). It is preferred that you are at home with your dog, though not required. By the end of the consultation, we should have a plan for what you should do next, whether that is making a few simple changes, scheduling a virtual training session with me, going to a veterinarian, or seeking a dog trainer that is better qualified to handle your problem (such as separation anxiety and aggressive biting).
Sessions
I'll want a virtual tour of the places your dog has access to, as well as demonstrations of where you're at in any commands you want to work on. After we talk through your dog's behavior, your home setup, and your goals, we'll go through training and management strategies to meet those goals. I may suggest changes to your home and routine, and we'll figure our what works best for you. If training is involved, we'll work on it during the session, so I can give real time help and feedback. By the end of the session you should feel confident and prepared to take the next step towards your goals.

My goal for each session is to set you and your dog up for success. By ensuring your home environment suits both your and your dog's needs, and coaching you through training using positive reinforcement, I can help you and your dog live happily and harmoniously. Being a Goodpup Certified Trainer, I am qualified to help with things like obedience training, house training, general manners, introducing a new dog to the home, introducing dogs to other people and animals, socialization, and problems with barking, begging, jumping, mouthing, chewing, and leash pulling.

I am not a morning person, so I primarily work in the afternoon and evening. I can be available as early as 10am. I will answer any messages within one day (usually within a few hours).
