Build a soulful bond with your dog.

If you want a dog who’s less wild and more wonderful, you’ve found the right trainer! We teach you how to communicate with your dog, so they understand what you want and know how to communicate with you — in ways you like! We increase your dog’s confidence and strengthen their trust in you. Our training will always build up your dog! This means we won’t try to intimidate them, physically punish or coerce them, or try to make them afraid.

What to expect

Consultation

Your initial intake and assessment is a hour-long meeting that includes: - Comprehensive behaviour intake and assessment - Personalized training plan to address your dog’s specific issues - Detailed session summary - Helpful tools, tips, and tricks for navigating your unique obstacles After our initial consultation, we book out our training plan to ensure you and your dog are able to successfully reach your training goals.

Sessions

Typically in your home

Before your first training session, you’ll receive our lesson preparation packet that details how to prepare for the session. In general, you’ll want to have lots of tiny treats available, a notepad and pen or computer to take notes (though we’ll also leave you with notes), and be ready to have fun while you learn how to train your dog! Our training sessions are one-hour long, and after each session, you have unlimited guidance and support via email and text.

Positive Reinforcement

We use positive reinforcement — a science-backed, compassion-centered method that rewards the behaviours we want to see and gently redirects the ones we don’t. That means your dog learns through trust, not fear — and builds new skills because they feel safe, supported, and motivated to engage with you. When a behaviour isn’t working, we teach better options, not punish mistakes. Decades of behavioral science have shown that positive reinforcement is the most effective, long-lasting, humane, and emotionally supportive way to train. We happen to think it’s also the most joyful.
