Kind, gentle, empowering methods
I'm a KPA-CTP and UW-AAB. I have over 3 years in formal education specifically in positive reinforcement methods and in Animal behavior. I also have a BS in Business and MS in Instruction Science Technology. I have lived my entire life with a dog. Many that were working breeds. Yes we can teach large powerful breeds using positive reinforcement methods. I teach people how to build trusting bonds with their dogs. I help dogs to learn that training is fun and enjoyable, not fearful or painful.

What to expect
Consultation
I will observe you and your dog, the environment, and discuss in depth challenges with your dog and your goals. The consultation is where I gain indepth insight about you and your dog. Prior to my consultation I ask that you complete a short intake form. The information gathered on the intake form gives me a general understanding of your dog and your training goals prior to the initial consultation.
Sessions
We will begin work on your training plan. The training plan is generated after completion of the intake form and the initial consultation. We will work on timing, markers, reward delivery and capturing behaviors. We will work on understanding your dog's body language.

I use positive reinforcement methods with all species. Training must be fun for your dog and you. That is the key to success! To be rewarding and enjoyable. I will not over burden you or your dog. We shall work at the pace you and your dog are comfortable doing.

I'm available from 9 am to 3 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I prefer training during the day as dogs tend to be more engaged in their training.
