Psychologist turned dog trainer
I've worked with some very challenging dogs. I grew up with a Cane Corso who was not properly socialized or trained from a young age and developed sever reactivity to people and other dogs. Over the course of a year, working very diligently and carefully, he was "off leash" trained with no reactivity and perfect recall. You can absolutely teach an old dog new tricks, it just takes more work, more planning, and more commitment.

What to expect
Consultation
We'll start by discussing your primary goals and your dog's behavior. Usually I try to make sure that you leave the consultation with something valuable, whether that's a trick, a new exercise, or even just simple advice for a specific situation you've been experiencing.
Sessions
I usually jump straight into training with a light warm up. This usually looks more like playing than what most people would associate with training, but it's a great way to get the dog primed to pay attention and follow where we walk. Good training usually looks a lot more like a game than hard work on the dogs part, at least at first.
More info
My goal is to get your dog into the best environment to set them up for success, so they can make the right choice the most frequently. Over time as they get the hang of things we will start moving them into progressively more difficult environments to build up the desired behaviors over time.
