Communication-Based Dog Training
What sets me apart is that I focus as much on the human as the dog. Training only works when the person understands how to communicate clearly and consistently, so I spend time helping owners read their dog’s behavior and respond in a way that builds trust and clarity. I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all programs. Every dog is different, and I tailor my approach to the individual dog, their environment, and the goals of the person living with them. My aim is not just a well-behaved dog, but a calmer, more confident relationship between dog and human.

What to expect
Consultation
A typical consultation begins with a phone conversation about your dog’s history, daily routine, and any specific challenges or goals you have. From there, I'll create a personalized training plan with written guidance which you will work on independently as well as together with me during your sessions(s).
Sessions
A typical session begins with a brief check-in about how things have been going since the consultation or our last training. We will then work through practical exercises together so you can learn how to communicate clearly and consistently with your dog in real-life situations. I’ll demonstrate techniques and guide you as you practice them with your dog. Between sessions, I’ll continue to provide updated written guidance and exercises so you can continue building consistency and progress at home.
More info
My training philosophy centers on communication, structure, and trust. Dogs do best when their world is clear and consistent, and much of the work is helping the human understand how to guide their dog calmly and confidently. I focus on building a strong relationship between dog and handler through clear expectations, body language, and consistency. I do not rely on punishment or shortcuts—successful training comes from helping dogs feel secure, understood, and capable of making good choices.
