I combine professional training knowledge with years of firsthand experience training my own various dogs. I understand that every dog learns differently, so I tailor my approach to the individual dog rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method. My focus is on building trust, confidence, and clear communication between dogs and their people.
What to expect
Consultation
During our consultation, we’ll discuss your dog’s history, behavior, routine, and your training goals. I’ll get to know you and your dog, answer your questions, and recommend a personalized, positive-reinforcement plan to help you move forward with confidence. Once we figure out our best plan, we'll discuss a few things you can start working on to prepare for our first session.
Sessions
Our first session will lay the foundation for building a calm, confident leadership role with your dog. We’ll work on consistently teaching a few basic cues, then build future sessions around your goals and your dog’s individual needs and pace.
Experience
I use positive reinforcement to teach dogs what we want them to do by rewarding good choices and building on their successes. I follow the LIMA approach—Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive—which means using the gentlest, most effective training methods possible while considering each dog’s individual needs. My goal is to build confidence, strengthen communication, and create lasting trust between dogs and their people.
