Agility and sports stretches
Between starting with my personal dogs and training professionally I have over 20 years experience working with dogs. I train CGC classes, obedience, and behavior modification in my board and train programs (not part of this platform). But I find agility and sports training to be the most fun. I have full size AKC regulation equipment that I use for my dogs at my home. And focus on teaching the dogs and their parents best practices when it comes to stretches and taking things slow to help prevent injury and have fun.

What to expect
Consultation
We'll start by chatting about your goals, and watching your dogs behavior. I'll evaluate if they have the basic obedience needed to take part in agility, and make recommendations accordingly if they don't. I will see how comfortable they are with different basic balance and confidence routines. You should bring high value treats, and not feed them within two hours of the consultation.
Sessions
During the training session I will work with your dog on the specific exercise, or obstacle. You may be participating but at a minimum you will be actively taking note of what is happening. You will be given a PDF or print out of the items we worked on. There is an expectation that you work a minimum of 30 minutes a day with your dog between lessons. And if your dog is not ready for the next obstacle we will not force them and instead work on the previous obstacles or stretch until they are confident.
More info
The focus is always on training the dog in front of me, finding out what motivates them and leaning into that. It could be treats, toys, pats. I have learned all kinds of different methods and contribute to educate myself on methods even if I don't use that specific method. I want to understand as much as I can from as many different types of trainers. When it comes to agility and sports it should always be positive, and it should always be fun! I have worked with behavioral issues dogs, and obedience which is a very different structure and something I don't offer through rover.

Availability
Most agility training, and balance training takes place at my home where I have the large equipment. However, stretches, balance, and small agility items can be brought to your home if there is enough space. During the week days lessons are typically during the day, some evening and weekend appointments are also available.
