Teach your dog to feel safe alone!

I love helping people teach their dogs how to make their way through life with more ease and joy. I live in Los Angeles with my partner, our kid, and dog Trixie. I help prevent fear in puppies, build confidence in fearful dogs, and teach dogs with separation anxiety to feel safe home alone. I help parents give their dogs and kids feel safewith each other. Our sessions will be in-person if you're in my LA service area or virtual for separation anxiety. Got questions about working with me? Book a free 20-minute virtual consult to ask me how I train, my background, and anything else.

What to expect

Consultation

I'll ask you about your goals. We'll spend time training your dog. I'll demo, then coach while you work through the first steps of a training plan. My coaching focuses on what you’re doing great at. I'll give you 1 to 3 next steps to meet your goals after our session. These will include training, management, and enrichment. I'll follow up with brief notes. For separation anxiety, we start with Initial Assessment. My goal is for this to be the last time your dog feels upset home alone. After that, you'll have 5 sessions each week following individualized instructions.

Sessions

Typically in your home

Our sessions include checking in on what’s going on, troubleshooting, training, and making plans for practice and support in between sessions. Support in between sessions can include: -Feedback on videos -Demo videos -Customized homework -Answering questions by email or text For clients who want extra support, I offer add-on services (additional cost): -Buddy Sessions, 25-minute virtual sessions where you train and I coach. -Day Training Sessions, 30-min sessions where I come and train your dog, doing some of your homework.
